Pink Chaddi Campaign - Azadi - Haq se maango

People have protested and people have done what they felt right to protest against something which they feel was wrong. Everyone has its new way of showing his/her anger for different kinds of situations. Well, here is a brand new way of protest. Sending PINK UNDERWEAR to the person who did something very very unruly and also very wrong. Amazed !!! Isn't it???

http://thepinkchaddicampaign.blogspot.com - Well, this is and I think should happen. Its so very right.

"To counter a disturbing trend of right-wing Hindu thugs beating up women going to pubs or wearing clothes they don’t approve of, Bangalore-based Alternative Law Forum (ALF) has launched a satirical campaign to support India’s “Pubgoing Loose and Forward Women”.

The Pink Chaddi Campaign asks women to send pink chaddis (underwear) to the ALF to forward to one of the bullying organisations, the Shri Ram Sene, which has threatened to attack couples found celebrating Valentine’s Day."

On an average 4000-5000 people are joining in to their FACEBOOK page made to get all the protesters in one place. And the effect is even more good as Pramod Muthali, the person who has done wrong to the girls in Mangalore/Bangalore is starting to learn some non-violence and has declared to send pink sarees to whoever sends him the pink chaddis. Guess he is damn ashamed and has learnt his lesson very well. If it wouldn't have been for shame then he would have gone to the houses of people who sent him the underwears and bashed them right-left.

Well, I feel very happy. At least people of India have awaken and are rising up soon to fight for their rights. Whereas our politicians are sitting like hijras and waiting for uparwala to do something against Mr.Pramod Muthali. Shame on all of you man. Even normal & common girls are far better than you mother suckers.

(Pardon my language. I know it had been very abusive but in these times my mind stops thinking. Thanks for bearing with me.)

VERTOR - Verified Torrents - Torrent Revolution

"Forget everything you've known before and get ready to discover all the benefits of bittorrent protocol! There have been lots of attempts to discredit the protocol and get money from users lately by uploading tons of low quality torrents. Any torrent file you've downloaded might have been fake, virus-infected, DRM-encrypted or password-protected. That led fast and easy-to-use bittorrent protocol to lose its advantages. Users had to spend their precious time to find a good quality torrent file and download its contents and it really got on their nerves.", is what the makers of Vertor.com have to say.

I tried it and it is indeed great. It is really doing what is says though a little late. I guess by the time it comes out of its nascent stage it would have developed completely. It is still in its new stage and not completely ok. For the time being virus-detection is not working and they are working on this. Well, you can understand for such a big thing as this it really needs time for all things.

The stats so far are already impressive.
  • Torrents processed – 488000
  • Download errors – 283656
  • Verified torrents – 154476
  • Infected torrents – 3851
  • Password protected – 6443
  • Blocked by moderators – 15529

And this is what they say and is their USP.

We get a torrent file and put it on our server for download. If the download doesn't start after a series of attempts we mark it as "download error" and do not place it in the overall database. If the download has completed successfully we check contents of the file and post the information about the torrent file and its contents:

  • If there is an archive in a torrent file, we decompress it and make a filelist. If there is an error in the process, we mark the file "protected" and do not not place it in the overall database.
  • If there is a video file in a torrent, we make screenshots of it. If the video is protected by DRM, screenshots will be blank.
  • If there is an audio file in a torrent, we cut out small pieces of it for users to make sure the file has prescribed qualities.
  • If there is a text discription in a torrent file, we save it so users can read it before downloading.
